BUTTERWORTH, March 19 — The Penang Royal Malaysian Customs Department foiled an attempt to smuggle in an estimated RM1.8 million worth of white cigarettes in a container during an inspection in Port Klang on March 7.

JOHOR BAHRU, March 15 — The Region Two Marine Police Force in Johor seized 9,900 cartons of cigarettes believed to be smuggled worth RM1.55 million in two raids in Taman Johor here yesterday morning.

KUANTAN, Feb 21 — The Pahang Royal Malaysian Customs Department seized smuggled cigarettes worth RM160,000 with unpaid duty amounting to RM1.336 million, after detaining a lorry at a petrol station in Kampung Anak Ikan at Jerteh, Terengganu.
